Cargo pump operational test parameters

Operational test of cargo pump must be done time before every discharging.
While test run the pump following parameters must be checked and recorded into Cargo Pump Operational Record form provided by the company:

1. Discharge pressure
2. Shaft seal pressure
3. Pump's electric motor current
4. Leakage from the mechanical seal
5. Shaft seal housing temperature
6. Excessive vibration or noise
7. Cargo tanks levels at local and in Cargo Control Room
8. Cargo temperature inside the tank
9. Cargo tank pressure at local and in Cargo Control Room
10. Pressure and temperature of cargo piping at manifold
11. Check piping for any leakage
