Seafarers, on being assigned to any ship, shall be familiarized with their specific duties and with all ship arrangements, installations, equipment, procedures and ship characteristics within 3 days since joined. The appropriate checklist must be filled and signed. Safety Officer is responsible to carry out Safety Familiarisation training on board.
