What is the number of turns of ropes to be applied on tension section of winch drum?
According to MEG:
1. Minimum 10 turns for low friction unjacketed high modulus synthetic fibre ropes.
2. For high friction jacketed high modulus ropes and conventional ropes the minimum is 5 turns
