- Turn the pump shaft by hand. Make sure it turns freely
- Ensure there is enough sealing liquid in the sealing tank. Make sure valves opened to/from sealing tank
- Start the pump with a closed discharge valve
- Open the discharge valve slowly
- Make sure there is no excessive vibration or noise, no leakage from the pump seal, el. motor running current is normal.
