We suspect a tube leakage in our Auxiliary Boiler due to the increased amount of hot well top-up water. How may we confirm the leakage is in the boiler tube?

Answer:

Check the boiler chimney, you should see the steam coming out of it at later stages of the tube crack development. If no steam observed out of the chimney, open the combustion chamber during while underway. The economizer/ exhaust gas boiler will ensure the steam pressure in the system and you may inspect the combustion chamber for signs of steam leakage/water accumulation.
