What causes a low Peak pressure when compression pressure is normal at the same time?

Peak pressure reduction, usually, caused by:

  • Faulty injector
  • Wrongly timed or leaking fuel pump
  • Late fuel injection
  • Poor fuel quality which results in a poor ignition quality
  • Defective fuel valves

Reduced Peak pressure, in its turn, causes power reduction of the affected unit due to incomplete combustion. Additionally, combustion continues during the expansion stroke. This leads to higher cylinder exhaust temperatures due to after burning.
