The purifier should not be allowed to run with pump dry. Ensure all valves on the oil line is open prior to starting it.

The temperature of the separated oil should be in the proper range according to the grade and viscosity. Do not run separator with a too high or too low temperature of the contents.

Purifiers are designed to runs at constant flowrate. Do not run them with various flowrate, which may be due to dirty filters, malfunctioning feed pump, almost empty tank etc.

Do not neglect the cleaning of the purifier bowl. Sludge accumulations will reduce the purification ability, lead to loss of water seal, water-oil interference and subsequently make it leak. Bowl becomes imbalanced due to the sludge deposits as well.
