- Switch ON synchronoscope
- Manually adjust the frequency of the incoming generator by raising or lowering its governor speed controller. The frequency of the incoming generator should be equal to the frequency of the bus. The synchronoscope indicator should turn clockwise as slow as possible
- When the synchronoscope indicator is at approx "5 minutes" away from the "12 o'clock", put the incoming generator online by turning the ACB control handle to CLOSE position
- Raise the governor speed controller of the incoming alternator and reduce the governor speed controller of the alternator already on the switchboard immediately to share the load. Failure to do so may lead to incoming generator trip by the reverse power relay.
