What is your experience with new 0.5% Sulfur fuel as required by IMO Sulfur Cap 2020?
Recently, we experienced severe tear damage of cylinder liner from top to bottom just after the change over to 0.5% Sulfur fuel.
MAN recommended liner replacement. At the moment, we are waiting for the opportunity to replace the liner, meanwhile sailing with increased cylinder lubricating oil feed rate and limited RPM.
