Proportional Valve Feed alarm occurred several times as well as low insulation alarm at UPS (A) box.
What can be the suggested course of troubleshooting?
Main Engine - MAN ME-C
The proposed investigation route is as follows:
- trace the problem, check all connections and cables for tightness
- traced low insulation
- from the experience, one of the probable causes could be a proportional valve (4/2 way solenoid valve) of a HSU - Pump. Disconnect it and the low insulation alarm should disappear.
The proportional valve may leak and have oil accumulated it a protection cover. If this is the case, it should be replaced at first opportunity.
