Shipboard staff on board my vessel / BITUMEN TYPE, has carried out a ''ROCKING TEST'' of the cargo handling crane (new VIQ 7 requirement). Unfortunatly they could not find on board any reference regarding ''tolerances of the limits permitted by the maker. Such information will enable my staff to compare the result obtained from the rocking test with the manufacturer tolerences.
The cargo handling crane is DONGNAM MARINE CRANE Type HOSE HANDLING CRANE 3 TON X 14 Meter.
Would appreciate your support.
Our Hose Handling crane has working radius of 15.5 m at 0 deg Jib and hoisting capacity of 5 T.
The rocking test allowance is 1.7 mm in our case. I suggest that in your case the allowance/tolerance should be not more than ours, 1.5 mm let's say.
Unfortunately, I have no experience with the crane type of yours and can't provide the tolerance stated by maker. Better to contact Maker or delivering Yard for exact values.
