M/E Cylinder Liner temperature sensor of single unit was found giving deviation alarm. Alarm resets on its own within few seconds but later comes again and resets immediately.

Sensor tightness and visual appearance were checked and found normal .

The following alarms appeared in the M/E CYL.LINER TEMPERATURE MONITOR in ECR:

  1. CYL.O7 MEAN DEVIATION TEMPERATURE HIGH.
  2. CYL.7 EXHAUST SIDE TEMPERATURE HIGH.

What may cause this alarms set?

Answer:

It could be malfunctioning either of sensor (at the exhaust side) or cabling of that sensor.

Start troubleshooting with replacing the sensor with new one or swapping from the other unit.
