Following alarms appear occasionally on one of units:

  1. ILLEGAL FUEL PLUNGER POSITION
  2. EXHAUST V/V OPEN STOKE LOW
  3. EHAUST VALVE CLOSED POSIION CHANGED followed by
  4. ECS SLOWDOWN A/B (ON SAFETY SYSTEM)
  5. EXHAUST V/V MOVEMENT
  6. FUEL INJECTION AND CYL'R LUBRICATION STALLED.

The other time, the following sequence happened:

  1. FUEL PLUNGER STROKE TOO LOW
  2. CCU2_411404 SUPRV. CH31 , 4114 , FUEL PUMP PLUNGER
  3. "SENSOR FAILURE" SHOWING
  4. FUEL PUMP PLUNGER FEEDBACK SIGNAL.

The next sequence also observed:

  1. FUEL PUMP PLUNGER
  2. EXH VALVE OPEN STROKE LOW
  3. ILLEGAL FUEL PLUNGER POSITION
  4. EXH VALVE CLOSED POSITION CHANGED followed by
  5. AUTOMATIC SLOWDOWN OF M/E.

What could be the reason of such "ghost fault"?

Answer:

The symptoms say that Fuel Booster position plunger position inductive sensor failed and needs replacement.

FIVE valve and Fuel Booster may be a problem too, but it is advised to start the troubleshooting with replacement of the inductive sensor.
