Following alarms appear occasionally on one of units:
- ILLEGAL FUEL PLUNGER POSITION
- EXHAUST V/V OPEN STOKE LOW
- EHAUST VALVE CLOSED POSIION CHANGED followed by
- ECS SLOWDOWN A/B (ON SAFETY SYSTEM)
- EXHAUST V/V MOVEMENT
- FUEL INJECTION AND CYL'R LUBRICATION STALLED.
The other time, the following sequence happened:
- FUEL PLUNGER STROKE TOO LOW
- CCU2_411404 SUPRV. CH31 , 4114 , FUEL PUMP PLUNGER
- "SENSOR FAILURE" SHOWING
- FUEL PUMP PLUNGER FEEDBACK SIGNAL.
The next sequence also observed:
- FUEL PUMP PLUNGER
- EXH VALVE OPEN STROKE LOW
- ILLEGAL FUEL PLUNGER POSITION
- EXH VALVE CLOSED POSITION CHANGED followed by
- AUTOMATIC SLOWDOWN OF M/E.
What could be the reason of such "ghost fault"?
The symptoms say that Fuel Booster position plunger position inductive sensor failed and needs replacement.
FIVE valve and Fuel Booster may be a problem too, but it is advised to start the troubleshooting with replacement of the inductive sensor.
