What is the design and working principle of pressure sensor (transducer)?
Pressure sensors are used to convert pressures into electrical signals that can be used for remote indicating devices and alarms.
Sensors are placed in a solid (brass or plastic) case 1. The connection to the valve 3 is made through a threaded adapter 2. The electrical connection is made by means of a three-core cable (copper), which is inserted into the housing through the gland.
The pressure is measured by the piezoelectric transducers installed inside the housing. The generated electrical signal changes in proportion to the pressure .
