Is there any potentioal risk of contamination when loading GAS OIL and NAPHTA through the same arm.

Can the Master issue an LOP mentioning this risk.

Yes there is a risk of contamination. The arm and associated pipelines must be properly cleaned when changing cargo types however normally vessel has no means to verify that.

Please refer to the similar case of Gas Oil contamination with Naphta.

P&I suggests: "If in doubt as to charterers orders for cleaning or loading operations, the master should immediately query such orders and inform the ship manager"
